Trial of CAPI use in the 2020 Population Census

Two days from December 18-19 2018, BPS conducted a trial of the use of CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewering) for the preparation of the 2020 Population Census. All BPS employees were encouraged to participate using their respective Android devices. Various findings obtained in this trial include the compatibility of gadgets with applications, the quality of internet connections, and the ability of officers to fill out questionnaires, and various other things that are expected to provide an early warning to BPS in preparation for the implementation of the 2020 Population Census. This trial is expected to strengthen this largest census activity at the time of implementation.
