Abstract

In July 2019, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.39 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 133.45.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in three groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group of 1.75 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas & materials group burn by 0.14 percent. While one group, namely the education, recreation and sports group experienced a price decrease of -0.18 percent.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in July 2019 include: red chillies, cayenne pepper, green chillies, long beans, cucumbers, snake fruit, long eggplants, gold jewelery, soy sauce (contents) and watermelons. While commodities that experienced price declines included: garlic, onion, sugar, cooking oil, wine, carrots, cabbage / cabbage, broiler eggs, vegetable tomatoes and train rates.

The inflation rate for the calendar year to July 2019 inflation is 2.04 percent. The amount of the inflation rate "year on year" for July 2019 against July 2018 was 2.35 percent.
