Abstract

In December 2018, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.44 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 130.79.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in six groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group at 1.61 percent. While the lowest inflation occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, one group experienced no change in price / relative stability, namely the education, recreation and sports group.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in December 2018 include: chicken meat, broiler eggs, general practitioners, shallots, green chili, porridge, train fares, rice, melons, watermelon, red snapper, raw tofu, avocado, oranges, red chili, cayenne pepper, women's blouses, pampers and clove cigarettes. While commodities that experienced price declines included: long beans, granulated sugar, long eggplants, carrots, beans, squash, siam / jipang, cooking oil, dried milkfish, raw chips, and gold jewelry.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to December 2018 was inflation of 2.31 percent. The magnitude of the inflation rate "year on year" for December 2018 against December 2017 is 2.31 percent.
