Inflation on April 2019 0,42 percent

a.   In April 2019, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.42 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 131.89.

b.    Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in four groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group by 1.97 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in the clothing group by 0.01 percent. While the two groups experienced a decline in prices / deflation, namely the transportation, communication and financial services group, namely deflation of 0.01 percent, and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile the health group did not experience price changes / was relatively stable.

c.   Some commodities that experienced price increases in April 2019 included: garlic, shallots, red chillies, chicken meat, apples, young jackfruit, chicken eggs, mustard greens, green chili, kale, potatoes, white cabbage / cabbage, avocados, wet shrimp, chickpeas, squash / squash, long eggplants, melons, pears, cayenne pepper, martabak, and air conditioning. While commodities which experienced price declines include: rice, oranges, long beans, milkfish, carrots, cooking oil, electricity tariffs, cucumbers, squid, and color television.

d.     The inflation rate for the calendar year up to April 2019 was inflation of 0.84 percent. The magnitude of the inflation rate "year on year" for April 2019 against April 2018 is 2.05 percent.
