INFLATION ON MARCH 2019 0.28 PERCENT

Abstract

In March 2019, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.28 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 131.34.
Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in four groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group by 0.93 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.19 percent. While the two groups experienced price / deflation decline, namely the transportation, communication and financial services group, namely deflation of 0.11 percent, and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.10 percent. Meanwhile the health group did not experience price changes / was relatively stable.
Some commodities that experienced price increases in March 2019 included: garlic, shallots, carpenters not foremen, papaya, granulated sugar, liquid soap / dish washing, wet cakes, wine, watermelon, catfish, chicken eggs, young jackfruit, long eggplant, and melon. While commodities that experienced price declines included: broiler meat, bricks, carrots, zalacca, white cabbage / cabbage, gasoline, potatoes, air conditioner (AC), vegetable tomatoes, pears, squid, beans, pumpkin siam / jipang , green chili, cayenne pepper, and color television.
The inflation rate for the calendar year up to March 2019 was inflation of 0.42 percent. The magnitude of the inflation rate "year on year" for March 2019 against March 2018 is 1.57 percent.
