Abstract

In June 2019, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.49 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 132.94.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in six groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group at 1.44 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas & materials group fuel by 0.02 percent. While one group, namely the education, recreation and sports group experienced a decline in prices by -0.03 percent.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in June 2019 included inter-city transportation, oranges, cayenne pepper, apples, bananas, long beans, red chillies, carrots, filtered clove cigarettes and white cabbage / cabbage. While commodities which experienced price declines included: garlic, cooking oil, watermelon, green chili, long eggplant, broiler meat, color television, pumpkin siam / jipang, chicken eggs and coconut.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to June 2019 is inflation of 1.65 percent. The rate of inflation "year on year" for June 2019 against June 2018 is 2.03 percent.
