Abstract

In January 2019, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.32 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 131.21.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in five groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group at 0.99 percent. While the lowest inflation occurred in the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, one group experienced no change in price / relative stability, namely the education, recreation and sports group. Meanwhile, one group experienced a decline in prices / deflation, namely the transportation, communication and financial services group of 0.54 percent.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in January 2019 included: house contracts, shallots, garlic, PDAM water, rice, vegetable tomatoes, grapes, chicken nuggets, salak, porridge, red snapper, ceramics, chicken meat , oranges, gold jewelry, and children's hair scissors rates. While commodities that experienced price declines included gasoline, broiler meat, chicken eggs, train fares, white cabbage / cabbage, red chili, wet shrimp, beans, long beans, avocados, and cooking oil.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to January 2019 was inflation of 0.32 percent. The magnitude of the inflation rate "year on year" for January 2019 against January 2018 is 1.74 percent.
