Abstract

In February 2018, Sukoharjo District experienced inflation of 0.22 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 129.24.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the rise in CPI (inflation) occurred in all groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the foodstuff category, namely inflation by 0.46 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in education, recreation and sports 0.02 percent.

Some of the commodities that experienced price increases in February 2018 include: garlic, onion, red chili, cayenne, apple, gasoline, wine, specialist fees, laundry and laundry fees, and motorbikes. While commodities that experienced price decline include: rice, chicken meat, beans, green mustard, cucumber, carrot, cooking oil, spinach, white cabbage / cabbage, and kale.

The inflation rate for calendar year up to February 2018 was inflation of 1.11 percent. The magnitude of inflation rate "year on year" for February 2018 to February 2017 amounted to 2.94 percent.
