Abstract

In October 2018, Sukoharjo Regency experienced inflation of 0.26 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 129.91.

Inflation occurred mainly due to price increases, where the increase in CPI (inflation) occurred in all groups, where the highest inflation occurred in the transportation, communication and financial services group, which was 0.51 percent. While the lowest inflation occurred in the education, recreation and sports group by 0.01 percent.

Some commodities that experienced price increases in October 2018 include: gasoline, cement, red chillies, papaya, bark, white cabbage / cabbage, green chili, mustard greens, potatoes, young corn, rice, beans, cucumbers, squash / gourd / jipang, white cigarettes, ceramics, tissue, and gold jewelry. While commodities that experienced price declines included: long beans, chicken eggs, shallots, long eggplants, garlic, bean sprouts, cooking oil, grapes, chicken meat, vegetable tomatoes, and melons.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to October 2018 inflation is 1.62 percent. The magnitude of the inflation rate "year on year" for October 2018 against October 2017 is 2.76 percent.
